One of the best ways to protect yourself and your family during the next earthquake is to reduce the likelihood of falling objects. These earthquake furniture cables are the strongest we have found. They were designed with vinyl coated steel aircraft cable which has cables.jpg (72901 bytes)a break strength in excess of 1,000 pounds. They are perfect if you have tall heavy furniture you would like to secure to the wall before the next earthquake.

They come in 4 lengths; 8", 6", 4" and 2½" and are easy to install. Simply slide your furniture away from the wall, use a stud finder to locate the stud. (Make sure you have chosen a length of cable to reach from the stud to the furniture frame.) Attach the bracket to the wall by using the the two long screws provided. Attach the other bracket to the furniture frame. Slide furniture close enough to thread the cable through the two brackets and replace the cap nuts. To be safe we recommend that you use two cables for each piece, one on each back corner.

Caution: Large earthquakes can break anything including this cable. In the event of such an earthquake use the time this cable buys you to find a safer place away from heavy falling objects.
